Origin
Moulin-à-Vent is generally the richest and most long-lived Cru village in Beaujolais, and this wine from Château de la Terrière lives up to the local reputation. Made without carbonic maceration so it doesn't display the 'bubblegum' characteristics of many lesser wines.
Taste
Impressive concentration of red berry fruit and hints of liquorice on the nose follow into the palate, with careful use of oak adding an extra dimension.
Enjoy
Can be enjoyed with both cold cured meats as well as richer dishes such as rack of lamb and game.
