Constructed by the hugely talented Giles Gelin from a couple of hectares of 60 year old vines. With the aim of producing Beaujolais Crus capable of ageing for 3 years or more, enormous care has gone into producing this top Fleurie.
Taste
Following on from a serious nose of crushed raspberry , violets and minerality, the palate is medium bodied with structure and balance. A real purity of fruit is complemented by a slight smoky character.
Enjoy
Match this wine with white meat such as chicken, roast pork or veal, and the well-integrated tannins will soften over the next 3 years.

    may be worth waiting a bit longer to drink.

    I thought it was a bit thin/undeveloped and I can often find Fleurie overly delicate. Not a patch on this producer's better value Baujolais-Villages 2009.
