Grape Variety-is-Chardonnay

Chardonnay produces some of the world’s most impressive white wines, and of course, Champagne! The finest examples come from Burgundy, where wines may be soft and buttery in the Mâconnais, or dry and steely from Chablis. Outside France, Chardonnay is particularly successful in Australia where the hot climate and oak ageing produces a much fruitier, heavier style.
