Rudd Estate Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay 2007 Russian River Valley

Notes of lemon oil, honeyed citrus, orange blossoms, and poached pears in a delightful, medium to full-bodied style. The oak is kept well in the background, and this wine reveals a decided minerality as well as underlying crisp acidity. 92-94 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.

The high limestone content of the soils of Pouilly-Fuissé suits Chardonnay to perfection, creating wines with a crisp acidity and hint of minerality. This example is dry, fruity and a touch floral, with hints of honey and hazelnut on the nose.
