Origin
Pelorus NV is produced using traditional vinification techniques, and only the free-run juice is used to ensure maximum softness and elegance. The final blend of Pelorus NV is aged on its lees for two years prior to disgorging.
Taste
From a Chardonnay-dominant blend of selected vintages, this is a fresh, apéritif style of sparkling wine. Crisp apple flavours are backed up by a nutty, yeasty complexity from its time on lees.
Enjoy
Well chilled this is a cracking partner to crab pasta.

    I just love this fizz!

    This is a lovely bottle of sparkling wine. To be honest it is as good as many bottles of champagne that you can buy at twice the price and more. It has a lovely soft biscuit taste to it and no harsh sting in the tail. I buy it everytime I see it in stock.

    fruity, refreshing, but short finish and overly simplistic

    Great for aperitif, but a bit too fruity, minimal complexity and very short finish.

    About the same as Montana/Lindauer so not worth the premium

    This is not bad sparking wine, well made. It has the characteristic thin quality of NZ sparking (as opposed to Australian which more easily approaches the French more textured biscuity quality standard). Would not repurchase at £15, and certainly not at the list £19.99

    Oddly, coming from 'cool' NZ, this is pretty rich, nice if you like that style, more for food (fish, salads) than aperitif.
