Chardonnay

Origin
A Premier Cru from the Montagny appelation in Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise. Cave de Vignerons de Buxy is an excellent, quality conscious producer and, being a co-operative, offers excellent value for money.
Taste
A delicious, fresh Chardonnay which has been fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks to preserve the pure peach, pear and acacia aromas. Soft and rich on the palate.
Enjoy
Enjoy with cold cuts of ham, this is a genuine bargain not to be missed.

    Disappointing

Given the other reviews, I was expecting a lot more from this. Bland, thin, with weak fruit and no richness or finish, I would never have known this was a 1er Cru Burgundy but for the label. A duff bottle? Possibly. But there are far better sub-£10 white Burgundies than this.

    Enjoyable

Amid the scramble for cheap, dilute, sweet NZ sauvignon, why not be different and enjoy this bargain. Bottle age has given somme breadth, but a lovely streak of lime keeps this wine fresh. Perfect with cheese nibbles or a simple fish pie.
