Origin
The vineyards of Hautes Côtes de Beaune lie in the hills above the escarpment of the Côte d'Or in carefully selected sites. These wines are often the best value in Burgundy.
Taste
Beautifully pale gold in colour it shows aromas of honey and white flowers on the nose. Fresh and full of minerality with exotic flavours on the palate the finish is warm and rounded.
Enjoy
Already delicious, this wine is capable of further aging for 2 to 3 years.

    great stuff

This is how I like 'everyday' burgundy to be. Perhaps it's a touch light and fragrant, but that is to Majestic's credit. Etherial and well balanced. Not sure what to eat with it - needs to be light. If you prefer a heavier Burgundy, then look elsewhere and pay a lot more. Or there are plenty of duff2011 macon's around at the same price.

    Not a keeper

This has now passed its best, but it's still a pleasant enough "light" Burgundy, although without any real distinguishing charateristics. As another reviewer has commented, if you serve below 10 - 12C, there's nothing there. At 12 - 14C, you get a hint of how it might have been a couple of years ago.

    GOOD VALUE FOR DRINKING NOW

Great year produces good wine and this is exceptional value. HOWEVER, do not overcool (serve at14C) otherwise, as another reviewer has found, the characteristics of the wine will be absent. Rodet is acquiring quite a reputation for these types of wines and accordingly being represented more and more at Majestic.

    Interesting

A rather well made old fashioned white burgundy. Not too much oak, no cobwebs. Fair hit of acid. Easy drinking. Touch bitter. Not fruit, buttery, honey.

Dull wine which has gone past its peak

This is a dull wine that has gone past its peak. There are no flavours left and it's a complete diasapointment. Avoid.
