Origin
Owned today by Jean-Claude Mas, this well established domaine has 25 hectares of vines in the Terrasses du Larzac area. Here in the foothills of the Montagne Noir, the soils are of limestone, clay and large pebbles, and are reminiscent of those of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Taste
An intense shade of purplish red with ruby hints. The nose offers notes of mocha and liquorice amidst the dark berry fruits. The palate is silky, with pleasant fruit sweetness and a peppery finish.
Enjoy
Serve with typical southern French cuisine, such as the local Brousse cheese and roasted tomatoes.

    A very pleasant combination

    Bottle changes with airing. First few glasses appear very smooth - a good introduction which subsequently adopts a more aggressive nature. Companion for braising steak and Crottin de Chavignol cheese perhaps.
