Staff Reviews

  • Deep and complex a real winter warmer.

"Paul Mas estate wines represent the incredible quality and value for money that can be found in the South of France these days. This Carignan is part of Jon Claude Mas' single vineyard range and comes from 50 year old vines. On the nose it offers deep mulberry notes with just a hint of bitter chocolate and clove. The palate follows the nose with delicious blackberry and mulberry. Well balanced acidity and smooth tannins make this wine suitable to drink by itself but if you were looking for a food match look no further than a heart winter stew."
