Tasted in 1996 by Jancis Robinson, "Already quite a bit of development at the rim suggesting this is a relatively mature wine. Very fragrant, perfumed and confident – even quite supple for a 1996, if quite chewy for a Pichon Lalande. Very fresh and vivacious. A really lovely wine that could be broached pretty soon."
