    "Xavier Borie of Grand Puy Lacoste and Ducru Beaucaillou fame has managed to capture the essence of 2000 in this wine. There is an abundance of ripe raspberries and blackcurrant fruit, intermingled with cigar box aromas. The palate is rich, plump and very sexy, with soft juicy tannins holding it altogether. The wine finishes long and very silky. It is in its prime right now, but will drink at its best for the next 3 - 4 years."
