Figeac has a cool, understated elegance which lends itself well to the medium-bodied style of the 2001 claret vintage. Never a blockbuster it shows clean cherry fruit and a ripe tannic structure that balances the fruiy perfectly. Drinking now through to 2015 it is classically structured claret for drinking with food.
