Grape

Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot

Origin
This entry-level Bordeaux packs a punch well above its weight. A blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a touch of oak ageing creates a fresh, fruity style of Bordeaux that is both accessible and ready for drinking early.
Taste
This soft and supple wine has a nose of cassis, plum and blackcurrant leaf. Essentially a fresh, medium-bodied claret for early drinking.
Enjoy
Fresh fruit and soft spices, this is ready for drinking now, with plenty of character and style.

    Not an enjoyable experience

After buying previously based upon customer reviews and doing very well out of it I was disappointed with this purchase. Upon opening the wine had a chemically/petrol smell and this carried through into how it tasted. I only had the one glass and felt lousy the next morning, this was repeated the next night with the same effect. Very disappointing, especially considering I bought two bottles

    Very disappointed

Having read a couple of reviews on this wine i was expecting a pleasant wine at a reasonable price but it was far from pleasant. I could accept one bottle having a bad cork but not 2. I will steer clear of this in the future.

    Good value

The sort of Bordeaux you would find in a French restaurant as a decent house wine. The tannins are soft and the flavour rounded. It's throwing a sediment now, so needs to be drunk sooner rather than later.

    Deceptively Good

200910 good quality Bordeaux at under £6 a bottle is hard to find and it certainly is a first class everyday wine at a bargain price - Majestic must ensure good continuity to satisfy increasing, continued demand from me, at least.

    Nice drinkable wine

This is a great wine to drink on it's own. Nice nose, its light, but has some depth, with good legs. It's dry but not too much,a great wine for the money. I will buy it again, a good recommendation from Majestic.
