Château Léoville-Poyferré 2006 St-Julien, 2ème Grand Cru Classé

Dense ruby/purple, with sweet blackberry and black currant fruit with hints of smoke, espresso roast, and new saddle leather, this is another impressively endowed but tannic, backward style of wine. 91 points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.

Pasqua Rosato 2011 IGT Veneto

Pale rose pink in colour, with core aromas of red cherry, rosehip and dessert apple. Similar fruits on the palate are delivered with a nice crisp acidity, medium body, and a clean and refreshing finish. Chill well and serve as an aperitif or refresher at any 'al fresco' summer party.

Elegant, sought-after wine that is modestly priced. Sweet blackcurrant fruit with hints of tobacco and subtle oaking.

Solid tannins with generous raspberry fruit and a noticeable herbal quality result in a complex yet delicious wine.

Les Pagodes de Cos 2001 St-Estèphe

The second wine of Cos d'Estournel, this is a clasically styled, soft and velvety St. Estephe blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Now fully mature, it exhibits the rounded fruit and voluptuous tannin for which Cos is famed, with a slimmer, more approachable profile and very subtle spice.
