Vieux Remparts 2009 Lussac St-Emilion

This is a rich, full bodied wine showing great concentration of flavour. With juicy black fruit on the nose and palate backed up by a smoky sandalwood character.

Mouton Cadet 2009/2010 Baron Philippe de Rothschild

Dense ruby red wine with purple tints. A ripe and expressive nose of blackcurrant and morello cherry, with a touch of spice and clove. Rich yet supple on the palate, with a full and fruity feel.

Château La Rose Chatain 2007 Lalande-de-Pomerol

This 15-hectare estate enjoys a location in the environs of Pomerol, just to the north. Producing around 80% Merlot, with full de-stemmingbefore fermentation, the blend is very much in the soft and plummy tradition of Bordeaux's Right Bank wines.

This 'Bordeaux blend' comes from various sites within Hawkes Bay, including the famed Gimblett Gravels area, which provides a warm climate and stony, free-draining soils, suiting the Bordeaux grape varieties superbly.

Château Trimoulet 2006 St-Emilion Grand Cru

A rich, deep ruby purple wine with a powerful bouquet of ripe blackberry fruit surrounded by subtle oak. A smooth palate attack, leading into a fleshy, well-balanced mouth-feel. Best served with roast leg of lamb, pheasant or rich terrines.

Château de Brens 1996 St-Emilion Grand Cru

A mahogany tinged colour and complex nose of spiced plums, aged leather and woody cigar box aromas gives away the wine's maturity. Full-textured and long, with enduring savoury flavours.

Château La Vieille Croix 2005 Fronsac

Solid tannins with generous raspberry fruit and a noticeable herbal quality result in a complex yet delicious wine.

Château Labégorce 2002 Margaux

A mature, medium-full bodied claret, with the classic Margaux hallmarks of dark crimson fruit overlayed with savoury, earthy flavours. Dry tannins are matched by taut acidity.

BriO de Cantenac Brown 2007 Margaux

Elegantly structured claret, with aromas of pencil lead and sandalwood, and a bramble backbone. A good level of ripeness, medium body, and tannins of a firm, taut character.
