Grape

Malvasia Fina, Viosinho, Gouveio, Codega

Origin
A blend of white grape varieties indigenous to the Douro area. At once traditional and modern, the wine is vinified very much in a contemporary style, with de-stalking and cold fermentation helping to preserve freshness of fruit and maximum aromatic impact.
Taste
Dry and delicate, but possessing an interesting aromatic intensity and complexity, with overtones of blossom. The fruit is predominantly citrus, with soft pear and melon flavours completing the picture.
Enjoy
Great with seafood or herbaceous pasta and rice dishes.

    Great value

We really loved this wine - similar to a Sav Blanc, but with more fruit. Really easy to drink and have already bought more!

    not for me

Didn't find this a good sauv blanc subs, had just half a bottle & woke up with a headache.

Great bouqet, shame about the taste

This wine has a great bouquet that matches the description. but I found the taste, complex but unbalanced and with a hint of soap. It wasn't corked or off so I don't think a bad bottle. I'd go for the excellent Vinho Verde next time instead

Lovely wine - but poor corks

This is an excellent and delicious wine but the corks have been very poor - difficult to extract and often leaving a fine sediment in the wine. Message to Sogrape: Please use better corks! Or even a Stelvin closure...

Wow wine at a wee price

A cracker. A real sit up and take notice wine, with bags of character and interest. Very approachable, excellent with food. Such diverse views as to what it resembles! Personally i think it's a bit like a dry example of a decent Alsace Riesling, but with a bit of Southern European flamboyance thrown in.

    Different in a good way

Gorgeous white wine. If your tired of Chardonnay or SB try this. Different from anything I've tasted. Ordered some more immediately.
