Grape

Chardonnay

Origin
The family run négociant house of Maison Louis Latour has been producing and selling wines since 1797. The limestone-rich soils of the Lugny village produce rich, buttery yet still Burgundian styles of Chardonnay with the typicity and style of the Mâcon.
Taste
Pale gold in colour, with a beguiling aroma of fresh apples, lemon curd and toasted citrus fruits atop a palate of fresh and crisp green-apple acidity, buttery and peachy fruit and a long, warming finish.
Enjoy
Perfectly acceptable on its own as an afternoon apéritif or with poultry, pork and or with fresh seafood.

Must be worth £12 a bottle

Classy wine. I usually buy the macon villages but thought I'd try one of your slightly more expensive offers. This wine is better than a glugging wine and compliments beautifully fine fish dishes - Great with Lobster. Go on treat yourself!!

    insipid

not a lot of bouquet and very little to write about taste wise either. A very ordinary glass of wine. Disappointing.

    A fine budget Maconnais

Lacks the steel of a classical Burgundy, but shows what a good Maconnais producer can create for under a tenner. Spritely citrus fruit on the nose, buttery in the mouth, with a spike of acidity before a warm finish. Feels like a more expensive wine - trademark Louis Latour.

    dull

I agree with one other comment this passed along without a reaction from me or anyone else..it got drunk and it did not make anyone run for the hills but it was just passable,..rather than interesting..in anyway.
