A subtle nose for this variety, with restrained apricot fruit, accented with a savoury pancetta-like smoky note. Soft, peachy flavours, a hint of fruit sweetness, plus a citrus lift and a full texture.

Hermitage Blanc 2008 Domaine du Colombier

Pale yellow and translucent in the glass, the nose is subdued with hints of peach, spice and even a slightly herbal note. The palate is broad and restrained; a serious, structured wine, but with an attractive, gentle acidity.
