This is a single-vineyard Riesling from the multi-award-winning McGuigan winery, which has been given extended bottle ageing at the winery to develop complexity and a lovely petrol character.

A vivid yellow with greenish tinges. The nose is nicely defined by aromas of grapefruit and lime zest. Bone dry on the palate, with a refreshing, bracing acidity and a clean, saline finish.

The Lodge Hill Riesling 2011 Jim Barry, Clare Valley

Straw coloured with green hues. Rich and lifted aromas of citrus fruit, nectarine and kumquat. Firm, zingy natural acidity on the palate, supporting flavours of white peach and mandarin orange.

Riesling Zöbinger Heilingenstein Alte Reben 2008 Weingut Bründlmayer

On the palate, this has a taut structure, with grapefruit and pineapple characters to the fore, as well as soft, mouth-filling and attractive peach. This finishes long and dry.
