Grape

Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara

Origin
The Boscaini family have owned and run Masi for six generations, and are one of Veneto's most well established producers. This wine is made by fermenting fresh grapes, then re-fermenting the wine along with some partially dried grapes, to create rich and complex flavours.
Taste
Dark ruby red with subtle violet tinges. Aromas are predominantly of ripe cherries, with nuances of vanilla and cinnamon. Rich and mouth-filling, with soft tannins and a velvety, savoury finish.
Enjoy
Drink with a selection of matured cheeses, black olives and Parma ham.

Smashing, versatile red from a quality producer. Good balance throughout, and a nice finish. Repeat order guaranteed.

    Dissapointing...

I bought 2 bottles of Campofiorin 2008/2009, struggled to finish first bottle, took second bottle back for an exchange-this wine is full bodied and very fruity-lots of flavour here, but also too much bitter aftertaste for my liking.

    Really fabulous

After drinking so much average wine from the supermarket's it was refreshing that the manager of Maidstone recommended this lovely wine. Cannot thank him enough and have been back twice since to get more.

    Italian smiles!!

This wine is a stunner, and if your tempted, go for iit!! You will not be disappointed, either drinking it with food or alone. It is so fruity, yet maintaining its stature and goes down the throat like velvet. Try this for sure!!

  • A perfumed, spicy wine (2008 Vintage)

"A Veronese speciality of the Masi family made by fermenting the new wine for a second time with some semi-dried grapes to make the wine richer. The grapes are a typical Valpolicella blend of Corvina (predominantly), Rondinella and a little Molinara and the result is a perfumed, spicy wine with autumnal dried fruit flavours and some meaty and graphite notes. Rating: 89/100 (The Wine Gang, www.thewinegang.com, July 2012)"

  • Sweet, light primary fruit with plenty of cedar oak and moderate acidity (2008 Vintage)

"Sweet, light primary fruit with plenty of cedar oak and moderate acidity. Pleasant in a middle-of-the-road sort of way. A safe bet. (Jancis Robinson, JancisRobinson.com, 25th May 2012)"
