Grape

Cabernet Sauvignon

Origin
This cracking Cabernet Sauvignon from Neblina shows the real value available from Chilean wines at the moment. From Chile's Central Valley which is protected from extremities by the Andes to the east and the Pacific to the west, this is the perfect party red.
Taste
Incredibly pure and fast-flowing fruit fills the far-flung corners of the mouth with rich cassis and sweet spices. The tannins are ripe and subtle and the finish rounded.
Enjoy
With rich dark fruit on the nose and palate this is a great party wine or good with dark meats.

    Great value

Excellent value, regretting only buying 2 bottles! Suggest giving it half an hour to breathe and mellow out, but will be back for more!

    Oh Dear!

Oh Dear.Having read the other reviews,I thought I'd give this a try. I guess you should not expect much for £4.49. This wine is supposed to be a Cabernet Sauvignon. It is more like a cheap Aussie Shiraz "headache after one glass" affair. Hints of red diesel, rubbing alcohol with a dash of pipe tobacco dottle.I think I will use the other 5 bottles in one of my tractors.

    Unbelievably awful

Unusually for Majestic this gets zero accolade from me. In fairness it could be that the wine is unreliable, that is good in some bottles poor in others. However, there was a nasty aftertaste unlike proper tannin flavours in mine. I'll be taking the other 5 bottles back and asking to replace with Mont Milan Corbiére which is twice the wine this will ever be.
