Origin
The Jurtschitsch family have owned and run this estate since 1868, although there are written records of the property which date back to 1541, when it was a winery to the neighbouring Franciscan monastery. The wines are aged in a 1km-long cellar dug 14m underground.
Taste
A crisp white wine, with a firm and focused backbone of citrus fruit, and a touch of peppery minerality that hints at the volcanic, granitic soils of the Stein vineyards.
Enjoy
An ideal companion for poultry, salads or pasta dishes.

    Good balance

    With your eyes closed this is like a nice and spritzy Muscadet. Very light, subtle and drinkable balance of fruit and minerality. Minus one star for being a bit pricey.
