much smoother than most sauvignon blancs,great value at the two bottle price,if you want to pay a little more for a superb macon try the Louis Latour macon lugny - very special.

I enjoyed this a lot. It was fullsome but not cloying.
It was the 2010, Cave De Lugny, Macon-Villages that won in the category mentioned above.
A lovely wine full of chaacter,flavour and dignity,
Buttery, but not too much. Acidic, but not too much. Everything is balanced in this great value wine
That's what I'd always been taught - but sadly it isn't true anymore. There are many Macons out there which really give the wine a bad name. This isn't one of them. Good fruit and minerality with a dry finish. This is an excellent food wine - it partners chicken and fish dishes really well. However I would say it's a bit too dry to drink too much of it without food - it's not a big fat Chardonnay - thank goodness!
