Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel 2010

Heady and bold on the nose, which is full of ripe strawberry notes, and hints of coffee bean and cocoa. Wonderfully plump and juicy on the palate, with a satisfying warmth and subtle touches of vanilla. Great with barbecued steaks, well-seasoned pork chops, or venison.

Within its hues of shiny old gold, this Oloroso has a deep, evocative fragrance. Its old solera gives it a full body and a dry palate with oak and nut flavours.

Gigondas 2009/2010 Domaine de Notre Dames des Pallières

An elegant nose of black fruit is followed by a remarkable palate of blackcurrant, thyme, liquorice and tobacco characters. Warming peppery spice on the finish makes this perfect with casseroles.

Beaumes-de-Venise 2009 Cave Saint Desirat

Made from 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah this wine has an intense nose of ripe blackberries and plums and black pepper and spices, a full body with soft ripe tannins, flavours of ripe juicy berries and hints of spice and a super smooth finish.

A blockbusting Rhône-inspired blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Shiraz and 5% Mourvedre, d'Arenberg's vineyards are managed in a very traditional way, with minimal irrigation and no soil cultivation resulting in naturally low yields and superb flavour concentration.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée de Mon Aieul 2005 Pierre Usseglio

This wine is part of an Exclusive Parcel secured through our Fine Wine Centre. This hugely concentrated, muscular wine is very powerful, excruciatingly tannic at present, but super-rich. It is certainly a terrific Mon Aieul, but for those who are very patient. 94+ points. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.

While still young this wine has the lush smoothness of Napa and can be drunk now or cellared for another decade. On the palate it has rich berry fruits with a fine texture from velvety tannins and balanced acidity.

Rust En Vrede Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 Stellenbosch

Densely opaque, with a bright purple rim. Aromas of rhubarb, aniseed, and hints of cedar and cocoa. The palate has plenty of tannic weight, with a long finish of liquorice and tobacco notes.

Taylor's 40-year-old Tawny Port NV

Made from a blend of some of the best wines from several vintages, aged in large wood casks for a long period, resulting a brick-red, tawny colour. The wines in this blend are an average of 40 years old. An intensely complex nose of dried prunes and dates, accented by wafts of clove, cinnamon, black tea and roasted nut aromas. Glorious length and sweetness, and a remarkably soft, elegant mouth feel.

Tautavel Hommage aux Vignerons 2007 Côtes du Roussillon Villages

Beautifully deep and inky, with a complex nose of ripe raspberry and loganberry, and hints of vanilla and wild herbs. Rich and opulent in texture, with a lingering, liquorice-like finish.
