Chiller Bins and Ice

Chiller Bins and Ice from Majestic

If you've got a lot of Champagne, wine, beer or soft drinks to chill, Majestic can help.

All our stores have chiller bins - sturdy plastic bins you can fill with a mixture of ice and water to rapidly and cheaply cool large numbers of bottles at once. They're available to hire for free - all we ask for is a £15 deposit which you get back when you return the bin to us.*

Of course, we can also sell you the ice: although prices vary across the country (because we have to use local suppliers) it costs roughly £10 to fill a bin, and unless you're partying in the summer sun, it will keep chilling for hours.

And the best thing is we can deliver the whole lot to you in time for your party: give us a few days notice and we'll usually be able to drop the whole lot off an hour or two before your guests arrive. Use the Store Locator to contact your local store if you have any queries or unusual requests!

How many bins will I need?

Each bin will comfortably hold 12-15 bottles of wine at a time (plus ice and water). Because bottles chill so quickly, you can re-fill it several times so for most functions you should be fine with just one bin. If you're organising a really big bash, it may be an idea to have different bins for different types of bottles (such as beer, wine and Champagne).

Arranging chiller bins and ice with online orders

When you reach the Checkout page, you will have the option to request chiller bin hire and ice. Your local store will contact you to arrange the specific details at the same time as arranging delivery.

As this is a free service we do ask that chiller bins are returned to us clean.*

Ordering directly from your local store

If you prefer, you can arrange everything directly with your local store, either by telephone or visiting the store. You can use the Store Locator to get their details.

* We are unable to offer a collection service for loaned chiller bins. Chiller bin loan is only available in areas where we deliver direct from store, and not by courier.
