Mandolin Merlot 2011 Central Coast

  • Origin

California's Central Coast is a Pacific-influenced region previously famed for white varieties, but increasingly known for reds such as this with great purity of fruit. Winemaker Philip Zorn sources his grapes from several partner growers throughout this region.

  • Taste

The region's trademark ripeness and purity shine through, with ripe, sweet cherry, blackcurrant and plum fruit and subtle herb notes. Integrated oak smooths the ample tannins and adds vanilla and spice.

  • Body

    Light A B C D E Full

  • Enjoy

Drink with tender meats such as oxtail, braised lamb shanks or pork loin.

Special Distribution

Special distribution

We offer our whole range of fine wines online, including wines stored at our temparature controlled Fine Wine Centre in London. Wines labelled 'Special Distribution' are sent by courier from the Fine Wine Centre to your local Majestic before your delivery can be completed. This allows you to choose from a much greater range, but does mean delivery may take a few days longer than usual.
