Jim Barry McRae Wood Shiraz Museum Release 2000 Clare Valley

  • Origin

Jim Barry purchased this 70-acre vineyard from Duncan McRae Wood in 1964, and planted his first Shiraz vines here, in a prime location within Clare Valley. This single-vineyard Shiraz spends 14 months in American and French oak and has immense depth of character.

  • Taste

The result is a wine displaying spicy aromas of dried plum, blackberry, liquorice and cinnamon. With rich and concentrated black fruit on the palate and smooth, velvety tannins.

  • Body

    Light A B C D E Full

  • Enjoy

A mature wine, this is a rare example of a late-release Shiraz. Drink now and over the next couple of years with hearty casseroles.
