Domaine Sainte Rose 'Les Derniers Cépages' 2011 PGI Côtes de Thongue

  • Origin

The 16th century Domaine is now owned and run by British couple Charles and Ruth Simpson. The name of this cuvée means "the last varieties", the constituent grapes being the latest to ripen. They are vinified separately and partly oak matured before blending.

  • Taste

Deep, opaque purple-black in colour, this is a dense and weighty wine. The nose is a brooding mix of black cherry, liquorice and hints of rosemary, and the palate is jammy with lashings of ripe tannins.

  • Body

    Light A B C D E Full

  • Enjoy

Will partner steaks and hearty pork dishes over the next 3-4 years.

Perfect with Pork

Special Distribution

Special distribution

We offer our whole range of fine wines online, including wines stored at our temparature controlled Fine Wine Centre in London. Wines labelled 'Special Distribution' are sent by courier from the Fine Wine Centre to your local Majestic before your delivery can be completed. This allows you to choose from a much greater range, but does mean delivery may take a few days longer than usual.
