For starters, they're the best trained in the business, we recruit motivated people, primarily at graduate level, who have an interest in learning about wine. All our retail staff take the Wine and Spirit Education Trust’s (WSET) Advanced Certificate after about six months in the Company. We encourage them to further their wine knowledge and 140 either hold or are studying for the WSET Diploma in 2007. We were delighted that five of our team received scholarship at the WSET Awards of Excellence, and particular congratulations go to Claire Dawson, one of our store managers, who won the highest accolade – the Vintner's Cup, awarded annually to the top graduate.

They're also helpful, coming from an environment in which high standards of customer service are the norm. From all our customer feedback and research, the quality of our staff and service are the thing rated most highly.
