Bordeaux experienced unusual weather patterns in 2007, not unlike our own disappointing summer - damp and grey, but followed by almost perfect conditions in the autumn, conditions in which good terroir, rigorous vineyard management and carefully timed harvesting were critical in making attractive wines. Leading Bordeaux châteaux by satellite!
We've put together a Google Earth file that shows the location of many of the leading châteaux so you can get a bird's eye view of what it's like to visit this fascinating region!
The best way to experience this is to install the Google Earth desktop program onto your computer, and then download the Bordeaux Châteaux KML file. If you prefer to look online, there's a mini-version below, or view it full-size in Google Maps!
