Bonded Storage-Majestic

Bonded warehouses are licensed by H.M. Customs & Excise to store wines on which duty and VAT has not been paid. This means that there is no 'release fee' when purchasing en primeur. Account holders pay a storage charge, charged at a rate per case per year. VAT, duty and a release charge are levied at the prevailing rates only when wines are released from the bond.

Accounts must be opened privately with the Bond. Your account may incur a receiving charge, payable to the Bond, when the wines are deposited in your account, as per your account's terms. Bonds also offer a range of related services such as delivery, repackaging and supply of export documentation, for which additional charges may apply.
